By providing your mobile phone number to a PawnSight-powered pawn shop, you consent to receive transactional text messages from PawnSight on behalf of your pawnbroker. These messages relate directly to your pawn transactions and may include:

Consent is obtained in one of two ways:
The following standardized script is used by pawnbroker staff at the point of sale:
"As part of our service, we can send you automated text message notifications about your pawn transaction, including payment reminders, ticket confirmations, and redemption receipts. You'll receive about 1 to 5 messages per month while your transaction is active. Message and data rates may apply depending on your phone plan. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text, or get help by replying HELP. Would you like to receive these text notifications?"
Customer: "Yes, please."
"Great! I'll add your phone number to your account for text notifications. You'll receive a confirmation text shortly."
The associate then records the customer's consent in the PawnSight system, which logs the timestamp, associate name, customer phone number, and the shop location.
"PawnSight: Reminder from [Shop Name] — your pawn loan #1234 payment of $45.00 is due on 03/25/2026. Visit the shop or call (555) 123-4567 to make your payment. Reply STOP to opt out."
"PawnSight: Your pawn ticket #5678 from [Shop Name] has been created. Item: 14k Gold Ring. Loan amount: $150.00. Redemption deadline: 06/15/2026. Reply STOP to opt out."
"PawnSight: Your pawn loan #1234 at [Shop Name] has been extended. New due date: 04/25/2026. Extension fee: $22.50. Reply STOP to opt out."
"PawnSight: Your item for pawn ticket #5678 has been redeemed at [Shop Name]. Total paid: $172.50. Thank you! Reply STOP to opt out."
"PawnSight: Reminder from [Shop Name] — your item for ticket #5678 is ready for pickup. Please visit before 04/01/2026. Reply STOP to opt out."
Message frequency varies based on your active pawn transactions. You will typically receive 1–5 messages per month per active transaction.
